Mazí Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Giorgos Nikolaou ("Mazí", "we", "us") for your use of the Mazí app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. Our privacy policy explains what the app stores and forms part of this agreement.

Your account

You need an account to use Mazí. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account. Accounts are meant to be created by an adult, and one person should not create an account on behalf of someone else without their knowledge. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.

Households and shared content

Mazí works by putting one household's groceries, chores, recipes, meal plans and calendar in a single shared space. Everything you add is visible to every member of your household, and anything they add is visible to you. A household holds up to eight people.

People join using your household's invite code. Anyone holding that code can join and can then see the household's content, so share it only with people you intend to share with. You can rotate the code or remove a member at any time from Settings.

Free trial

New accounts get a 30 day free trial with every feature unlocked. It starts when you create your account, needs no payment details, and does not turn into a paid subscription by itself. The trial belongs to you as a person, so it does not restart by leaving a household and joining another one.

Subscription

After the trial, keeping a household writable needs a subscription. Monthly and yearly plans are offered. The price for your country, including any tax the store shows, is displayed in the app before you buy, and it is the price that applies.

If a household has no active trial and no subscription, its content is never deleted for that reason. It becomes read-only: you can still open the app and read everything, and it becomes writable again as soon as someone subscribes.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their own terms, not by us. Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or a right to a refund, that right is unaffected by anything in this section.

What you may not do

Your content

What you put into Mazí stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, and to show it to the members of your household. We do not use it for anything else, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not sell or share it. Deleting your account removes it, as described on the account deletion page.

You are responsible for what you add, including having the right to add it.

Changes to the app and to these terms

Mazí is under active development, so features change and occasionally one is removed. We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Mazí after that means you accept the updated terms.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to close. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

Warranty and liability

Mazí is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and it is not a substitute for keeping your own record of anything important. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

If you installed Mazí from the App Store

These additional terms apply, and they are required by Apple:

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there.
